SHARING FILES WITHOUT DATA LOSS

Most of you have problem in uploading files to internet due to low upload speed and huge amount of data... :(

but I have got a way to overcome it.... :)

Usually ROM developers upload their ROM's on different servers like gdrive, mediafire, dev-host etc. but it takes a large amount time to upload the file then mirror the links..(sometime even a day)
Now the Idea is to create a small server on a computer and just moving the content to be uploaded to that given server folder... I'll show you using some snapshots....:)

-:Things needed:-

• A computer running on windows
• Internet Connection
• A little Knowledge about internet and windows

-:Procedure for installation of WAMPserver:-

1. First you will have to download WAMP server (Click here)

2. While installing you will be asked to enter "SMTP" and Email.

3. Leave SMTP as it is

4. Enter your Email.


-------Finally you are ready..---------

 

 

-:How to use:-

1. Now click on the icon in quick menu and select "Put Online"

2. Now go to Your browser and type "localhost/" in URL

    By default you will see the following page....

3. Now go to quick setting, click on "WAMPSERVER". Now select "www directory".

4. Now a Folder will open which will look like this:-

(I have added many files but actually it contains only 2-3 files)
index.html is the file which gets displayed automatically when you go to any server site...

5. Now "www" folder is the folder which will be used as your mini server.

6. Whatever you will paste here will be accessible to the world..... :) 

 

-:Now how to upload and share the data:-

1. It takes several hours to upload files to server like gdrive,data-filehost,mediafire etc now using this you just have to paste the file to be uploaded in "www" folder and itz uploaded....:D

2. You must know that every device on network has a unique identity i.e. IP address
   Now for sharing the file store in "www" folder we will use IP address.....
   Many of the internet service provider are providing dynamic IP's hence every time you switch on your PC IP changes...


3. Now go to www.cmyip.com to get ur IP address
   Now you will get ur IP address of your PC..... :)
   Now Copy ur IP and paste it in ur URL.. It should display da same index.html page


4. Now Imagine I have to Share a archive file called C.zip (itz actually a ROM file)....

Now for sharing the file (c.zip) all I have to do is to find out my IP.
For eg. Consider my ip as 114.79.170.59 now to share c.zip the link will be "114.79.170.59/c.zip" anyone in the world who has this link can download this file....:D
In short u have uploaded a file witin 2-3 mins...............

5. I just tried downloading it form my mobile and it just worked..........:)

 

There is one drawback of this method :(

You will have to keep ur PC (ie. server) On until the receiver receives the file...:(

Main Applications

Whenever a developer creates or develops a ROM he uploads it on a server. It takes time to complete upload process, and consumes even more time to mirror the downloading link.....
Hence by using it the developer will share the link to the person having high speed internet connection and the person with high speed connection will download the file and upload it on gdrive and will also make a mini server hence a large amount of members will be able to access the file/ROM......
